About this Training
Strong Black Woman Archetype, is a pervasive cultural script that prescribes and proscribes acceptable behaviors among adherents. This training will explore the implications of adherence to this archetype for counseling and therapy. Understanding how overlapping oppressions and intersectionality exacerbate the conditions of black women is vital to promoting wellness, social justice, empowerment, and self-determination within this population.
About Your Trainer
Dr. Harris is a Licensed Psychotherapist, Certified Hypnotherapist, Certified Life Coach and Consultant based in NYC. She is a full-time lecturer at Columbia University’s School of Social Work and operates a private practice in NYC. As an abolitionist and womanist, her clinical focus is on liberation and soul healing through the prioritization of intersectionality, intergenerational healing pathways and the deconstruction of anti-blackness.

Yes.
Participants who complete this entire training program and its evaluation are eligible for three (3) NBCC hours. Clinicians of Color, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7256. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Clinicians of Color, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
Credits will offered for Counselors and all other designations will be provided Certificates of Completion.
