Queen, Let’s Heal: Healing the Strong Black Woman in Me
Online Training for Clinicians of Color
About this Training
Queen, are you Ready to heal emotionally, mentally, and (possibly) including your spirituality AND learn how to better help your black women clients? You have read all of the self-help books, been to the church altar too many times to count, and even tried to distance yourself from toxic folx, yet you have not yet received the healing you deserve.
In this workshop, I will:
- Share a womanist mental health and healing framework
- Talk about the strong Black woman trope
- Discuss how mental illness may be underlying those who identify with the strong Black woman trope
- Offer ways that we can walk out our healing journey, including Christian spirituality tools
As mental health professionals-this workshop is critical for you, as you provide safe, healthy, trauma-informed care to Black women. Queen…Let’s Heal!
