About this Training

In this training, participants will be introduced to the terms food justice and food insecurity. Research shows a significant link between brain health and nutrition. However, food insecurity and food injustice are barriers to whole-body wellness and nutritional lifestyles that may be beneficial in Black communities. Attendees will learn to identify food injustice, the negative implications it plays in Black communities, as well as, explore how to connect with communities to advocate for adequate nutrition and relieve mental health symptoms.

About Your Trainer

Reynelda Jones is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist, Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional. She is also a public speaker and the author of the Worthy of Royalty Self-Care product line and the Co-author of Glowing Up In Private Practice e-Book. Currently, she provides individual counseling at her private practice, A Solution B, LLC located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Yes.

Participants who complete this entire training program and its evaluation are eligible for two (2) NBCC hours. Clinicians of Color, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7256. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Clinicians of Color, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Credits will offered for Counselors and all other designations will be provided Certificates of Completion.
