About this Training

Although assessment for clients who present with domestic violence and child abuse issues has been available for almost fifty years, the absence of sensitivity for how these traumatic events impact those clients from diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds is alarming. If we are to truly be helpful, we must learn both what to ask and how to better interpret the answers we get from standard assessment instruments.
